Hey-hey- hey Here's a little scoop about Derrick.........He's an award winning singer, songwriter, and actor who hangs in the Big Apple. When it comes to acting, Derrick's various principal film/TV roles include Contact, One Life to Live, Forces of Nature, Bulletproof Soul, various commercials, print jobs and the lead in the upcoming film 'Yes No Maybe So". In addition to having studied with various well respected institutions and coaches like Yale Drama School, NTI, Second City, Leanne Summer's (LA), Ted Sluberski (NY), and beloved Helga Bullock (DC) .......D’s continuing his studies in New York and landing fresh gigs like Hershey ads to performing at The Kennedy Center with The Royal Shakespeare Company.

Derrick has always considered acting & singing to be like two sides of the same coin when it comes to the expressive arts, which brings us back to his music. We're happy to say that he was honored at The Hard Rock Café: D's songs won several National BMI, MSC and Billboard awards…and his voice has been called "smooth" like "warm honey". Derrick also did a lot of the producing on the tracks. Currently he's polishing his chops and enjoying his newfound freedom in New York. ......and that's the scoop! |
